Business development Consultancy for founder-led companies

About Me

Paula Fifield

Business Development Consultant

Born in Hull, my personal pathway took me first to Newcastle for education, then to London and Surrey to establish a career.

For 18 years, I worked with Wildfire, one of the highest profile tech PR agencies in the UK. During that time, I was part of a management team that grew the agency from sub £1m turnover to a very profitable £3m business.

Being a proud Northerner, naming my business ‘True North’ felt like coming home. I’m also a huge fan of helping founders to identify and pursue their North Star Metric… the success measure that reaches beyond revenue and units sold, and often speaks to their soul. Mine is about helping founders to not just to achieve growth, but to enjoy the growth journey.

I look forward to sharing my journey with other founders as we travel our individual growth paths together.

Starting a business is exciting...

…but without clarity, growth can quickly lose momentum, leaving even the best ideas struggling to move forward.

It’s usually the promise of a handful of deals and opportunities that kick-start the process of launching a new venture.

But once you’re up and running, the focus on maintaining a steady stream of new business opportunity falls to the bottom of the priority pile.

That’s when it’s time to look beyond supply and also focus on demand, figuring out the long-term direction for the business and how to achieve sustainable growth.

Everyone loves growth. A lot less people love to sell. But here’s the thing, selling doesn’t have to be hard. It’s evolved, and thankfully, for the better.

When you’re crystal clear on your True North, the right growth path reveals itself. Simple, though not always easy, which is why I’m here!
